My issue initially was (due to muscle memory) I was hitting Tab instead of E then buying parts instead of selecting them.
This lead me to initially spend money on things I didn't want/need and be left short of cash for what I wanted.
Now I have progressed further, the cash-flow issue is less of an issue.
I think I will restart though :)
Think I'm gonna have to restart my progress because of a bug with a tutorial that has made the game unplayable for me.
I FIGURED IT OUT
so if it doesnt work, the reason is probably due to steam sync saves, so what you want to do is store your saves locally. to do this, go to the library page for screwdrivers, hit the gear/cog icon (manage), go to properties, and in general there should be an option to save game to steam cloud. turn this off. now make sure the file for savables and inventory (one has TT at the name of the file, that stands for Tech Tree i think, correct me if im wrong tho). if you have any questions, ask me, as im not sure if anything ive said is actually readable.
