Kaka Usage
Hey folks, I just wanted to get some public feedback about what people think about Kaka. Having a hero with a field summon is pretty cool, but I found him to be pretty underwhelming when I used him, especially considering how the Stone Hound doesn't appear to benefit from equipment.

So my question is, what do y'all think of him, and if you do use him how do you like to use the dude?

You're right that it doesn't scale with equipment. But it scales with this level directly (and it's a very strong tank actually, to protect one of your lanes [mostly mid in case you don't use Frank]). Sadly due to him being only Mid or Jungle, he's usually outperformed by other heroes such as Kamaitachi, Frank, Reinhardt, Hakuna, Enidi.... just to name a few.

He is very good to pair with an aggressive bot lane duo (aggressive carry & aggressive support), the stone hound then becomes the melee tank for engagements bot lane.

The reddit had a community tier list that got published after a week of voting. Kaka was the only hero to receive a D tier ranking of never shines in any meta, with any item, or paired with any hero

Kaka have the trongest summon in the early game that falls off pretty hard in the late game, due to sharing the instakill mechanic with Zealot.

Even with 5 tokens in his card (unlock the doggo final form) and the armor mastery, it dies pretty quickly in the late game, which automatically takes out Kaka as well.

So yeah, he is a great jungler to play agressive and end the game in <45 rounds. Lubos does the same role as him, except with better agression and scaling, without the defensive presence of the doggo. :MOMORI_RIDICULE:

Yeah, that sounds more or less like my experience with him. Tbh, I hope that the folks devving the game find some way to make Kaka a reasonable pick - especially with so many other excellent choices in the game. He does seem very fun, just held back by his HP limitation and the doggo's gear limitation (maybe do something similar to Omaha and scale to the actual character, or provide better independent scaling?)

I wonder if Kaka is working correctly. I just used Wild Hunt to initiate against an enemy 2 hexes from Kaka, and in the battle the Hound was not present, but Kaka appeared instead.

He's good at finding 2 on 1's against the enemy. Which if timed right, helps with Herald and Dragon Fights. I prefer Zealot though.

One way to use Kaka is to move his summon to another lane in early game, so that you always take the advantage of more heros in that lane's battle. It's like a permanent version of Omaha's eagle.

I have yet to find anyone using Kaka at all. I felt like he was too much effort for not enough rewards to be in my heroes list.

I used him fairly often in my first run after release. Worked well enough with the cheap cards and the pup can be useful with equal presence. Pup did feel a little squishy though and I absolutely hated the buff card that eats points. It made it harder to maximize turns over ai due to the potential of pulling that card and dropping below the ai in turn order. Needed to maintain a larger buffer which annoyed me. It also never felt worth the 2 point loss anyway. I did like his other cards though.

I haven’t used him since that first run so I don’t know if anything has changed since.

Nope! Unfortunately, everything you've said about Kaka here still applies. Which again, kind of sucks.

Didn't feel worthy to play at reading, and every time the enemy pick him, I'm glad because I know the game will be easier than any other pick I could face...
Underwhelming stat at best, he's dead in water the moment he possess two fault that it's adc counterpart does not (Omaha) :
He doesn't get any benefits from item.
He dies with his summon.
if the summon would get half scaling from item and if any excess (over 1Hp) damage to him and the summon would be applied to the other instead (making him kind of a zealot, but more tanky if you only have one of them with a variety of strategy) I would consider picking him.

I think Kaka is a fine enough champ, and I have won several difficult match-ups with him as my mid. I think the primary benefit if that you can have his wolf join or initiate fights a lane away, and you can move his wolf while you push in that lane. He is also slightly tankier when he gets into solo fights because damage can be split between him and the wolf. Also Kaka does not get HP from items, and I thought (could be wrong about this) that the wolf does get other stats from items but not effects.

I don't think that people are wrong about the drawbacks of using him though, the point deduction for scaling the wolf is especially rough.
