How to change difficulty?
Is there a way to change the game difficulty after starting a save file?
I'm currently in the 4th year, and would like to have more of a challenge without having to start all over again.

Yeah as previously stated. You can only fiddle with the core game settings of your game/run at the exact start of starting a new game up.

and also keep this in mind for all the many options you can pick.
Two options I gravely regret picking for my first new game for the full release of this game is: the option that the coach notes open up after ever match (gets so an:woo:noying in the end..) and the option that heroes that are in their nexus cant join obj/special fights.

The later option there is really cool sometimes, when you can take down the hp of the enemy/s the round before say a dragon fight and they cant join! ha ha! then you feel great. But its not great when your heroes happen to recall because on random elements just before a importante fkn special obj fight :steamhappy:

There are alot of cool options at the start of a new game. So I would advice to take the extra time to look them over as you can as the game is right now, never ever change them in that game ever again.

and Im still in that first run of the game since release on my hell+ difficult setting :woo:

Fiddling with the save data found at "/AppData/LocalLow/Asteroid Studio/Esport Godfather/User/Saves/{save_number}/GameData" (Open with notepad) I found the option to change settings by changing the fields found, in my case, around the end of the file:
- "BpAI": Ban/Pick AI difficulty
- "CardAI": In-game AI Card Playing Difficulty
These should be the settings you are looking for. The values seem to range from 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest difficulty.

If you explore a little bit you can also find the settings to determine the attribute and hero mastery scaling for AI.

Just replying on this in case anyone finds this thread: You can now edit the campaign's difficulty settings post-start. From the main menu, go to the Load Game screen. In the campaign selection screen, click the campaign's gear icon. That will open up the campaign's config options!
