I'd still like a "Last saved at" on the pause screen.
I'd just like a line of text on the pause screen that tells you the last time the game had saved. Maybe this still could be exploitable but I'm not as concerned about someone save-scumming their training xp.
What we need, imo, is a proper in-season structure of something resembling: off-season dealings -> *Lobby* -> game 1 -> post-game review(MVP/game stats/stat increases) -> *Lobby* -> game 2 -> etc.
Post-game should be as minimalist as possible, meaning screens relevant to that game only, not reduction in content. Segments like scrims, training, sparring, monthly coach goals, can all be accessed from the lobby. These segments should be tied to highlighted(as interaction requires) menus/submenus off of a lobby screen where you have a clear break from the action. Luckily, we already have the framework for this with the info, etc. tab. This is similar to Team Fight Manager, if you're familiar, or even, similar to the game this is modeled after; League of Legends. The lobby backdrop can be a simple idle screen where you have an animated scene of your athletes interacting/chilling/snoozing maybe, depending on how long you been idle there.
The goal obviously is to have a clear break and good stopping point while still having everything you want accessible. But maybe more importantly, a break in the "next" meta. As it is the next, next, next meta feels a lot like doom-scrolling tiktok or youtube shorts with no end in sight.
On a somewhat related note, I love to evaluate my team on a weekly basis and while players of the week and team of the week etc are nice I'd really love a more robust and comprehensive stat comparison and display. What's cool is you can see that they're already tracking all of this data, it's just not being shown to us. Ideally what I'd love to see is a full breakdown of KDA, DPM, etc etc, all the metrics, in a huge table, sort-able and filtered by position, champion, etc. Similar to what you might see in Madden or other sports game's GM mode. TMF did a pretty cool version of this, where you got to see how effective you were on each champion, for each athlete, letting you re-evaluate your P/B.
I figured it would be the easiest thing to implement.
Basically just displaying a line of text showing the last save time for our save file, which is already tracked and displayed on your save files when you're selecting a save to load on the main menu.
If they're able and willing to do more like adding manual saving or a lobby/hub that we take our actions from, I'm all for it.
