How to reset progress

Hey all, I am looking into replaying some of my old Yuzusoft games like Riddle Joker since it's been ages and I wanted to see if they still held up, but my old saves came back and now I have no good indicator of what's new text and what's been read already because everything is marked as read due to me 100%-ing the game back in the day. Is there a good way to reset dialogue read markers or am I stuck just needing to be very careful with the jump buttons?

I think the only way to do that is to disable steam cloud for this game, then open the game folder (where the game files are located), then delete the 'savedata' folder. That should let you start the game from scratch. (you can make a backup of the 'savedata' folder first if you wanted)

That appears to have worked, which is odd since the savedata folder just has a single four-line file with nothing but an accountID in it, so I'm not sure where the data is actually being stored. Regardless, thankfully these games have very good skip functionality, and I had just passed a scene choice so I was able to get back to where I was pretty easily. Thanks for the tip
