How to use "panic button?"

Let's be honest here, we all know why there is a panic button in the options, and i wanted to goof around with it and see what it did when i used it, but the option for it in the settings is grayed out and there is not a command for it to bind to a key. Why is it in the options then if there isn't a use for it?

This seems to be the same case with their other 2 games as well, Sabbat of the Witch and Senren Banka (same developers as this title). Both have the Panic Button option but are grey'd out. Not sure what the deal is with that.

I think it's ESC key... not sure, never really used it

You have to set an option that sets the behaviour of the ESC key as the Panic button, then it'll work. It's worked fine for all the Yuzusoft games.

But my problem is that the option in the options menu to set is grayed out and cannot be changed or set

Ahh didn't even notice that option above the 'Panic Button' setting. Nice to know that option isn't there for nothing after all.

It actually does work. You just need to enable it first. When you get in game, go to "Settings", then go to "Display". Then above the greyed out "Panic button" setting there's a setting called "ESC key function" with 2 options to set it for, "Right Click" and "Panic button". Need to set that for the panic button, then the other option will become available.
