AI IS TERRIBLE

i have been stuck on the nergigante boss for days because my pathetic excuse for an ally keeps using the wrong attacks, literally only used the wrong attack until he lost all his lives, ally ai needs serious improvements

Well, you could... but Reverto hitting like a truck when he does things right can be hard to pass up.

Grinding more levels is an option. The ai buddy levels up with you. Unsure about this, but the protect skill for gunlance may? help. If things get really bad use Vital essence on your ai buddy.

Well, you could... but Reverto hitting like a truck when he does things right can be hard to pass up.

Big “when” while I barely remember Reverto being bad like Alwin, that charges every turn, I still prefer to avoid the kinship sinks that just waste turns losing head to heads.

Yeah you do have to handhold the AI or else they will get killed constantly....
Pretty sure I beat the game from just being completely over-levelled, to the point even my AI had to REALLY try to die.

That's fair. I would still say out of any AI partners, Reverto is the only one worth using at all if you're gonna use one IMO. With how he's a hunter, you won't lose much if he does something stupid or if there's a one shot aoe coming since it's only a single heart rather than 2.

I’m stuck on Nergi too. Currently on farming step of Astalos or whatever for parts for the full set of gear. Might farm caps to buy stat drinks and chug them. It may come down to me bringing a full electric monstie party as well.

What i dislike about AI is that they don’t have weapon swap so they get stuck using the same weapon on a part of a monster that calls for hammers, for example. Kind of annoying. Also their monsties don't switch out, so the dude’s Rathi with fire element doesn’t really help against monsters naturally resistant to heat. I had same gripe about Frostfang in icy regions where most monsters are resistant to cold…

It is tempting to use your kinship attack as soon as you have it available, but my advice is to keep it for those cases where you really need block an attach. Also, you might want to try breaking a different monster part. Depending on what you break, the power of certain attach will be reduced, or the defence of the monster. I don't quite remember for Nergigante. I don't fight them enough.

definetly the ais fault i read attacks fine the ai did not
