he is so damn annoying like someone holding your hand consistently, let us turn him off and leave him at the town like ena.

THIS needs to be patched in, sick and tired of him informing me of things im well aware of.

Now that I think about it... It's odd Capcom keeps adding these annoying characters in their games.... There has to be a reason other than "Let's piss our players off"... Just has to be a reason...

Why couldn't he be like online? When you find a nest online he doesn't stop you in your tracks, but noooo. I gotta see him say the monster is sleeping for the 100th time.

I think it because of you char. Your character doesn't speak so someone need to do talking without putting words to your mouth. I think it's pretty bad approach. Just old good select a meaningless phrase from 3-4 would've been much better

I think it's mainly because in Japan characters like these are commonplace. Personally I don't mind Navirou other than his Eyerolling Ride On act before you fight bosses which feels soo Digimon + Power Ranger but it is what it is.

I prefer the silent protagonist before the select options Nice, Neutral, Jerk/Evil, or LOL SO RANDOM options. Works better for me as I headcanon my Rider as just wanting my Monsties nice and safe and everyone is in her way or annoying lol.

The fact is annoying when he says the same thing over and over again, especially since sometimes the text that pops up every now and then gets in the way. a good solution would be to appear in the background and not require the player's interference in closing it.

The fact is annoying when he says the same thing over and over again, especially since sometimes the text that pops up every now and then gets in the way. a good solution would be to appear in the background and not require the player's interference in closing it.

this, games have had the same annoying ♥♥♥♥ and had to fix it within a week to please the playerbase. yet still sitting here putting up with this annoying cat x-x

why cant they learn to give options to disable what they perceive funny or helpful when it aint.

i hate this little pest with passion... its just another annoying and dumb character that has no accuse for its existence other then "oh the main protagonist doesnt speak. lets get a stupid cat talking sh*t all day long." . Seriously, he is not even useful. he even disrupts your game every few seconds... god, i hope someone will finally bring us an update or a mod to get rid of this satanic creature!

If he didn't forcibly STOP you every time you enter a monster den to tell you what you can clearly see I wouldn't mind. Only person I dislike more is default protagonist Kyle, don't know why just something about his face pisses me off.

This game is like an anime, and every anime has his own mascot.
Navi is cute, funny, and give a lot of stuff "shonen anime " feeling to Monster Hunter Stories and I love this.

Navi is ugly as sin. The other random cat people, Felonias or whatever, look much cuter and even in Monster Hunter World you could customize and make your own as cute or ugly as you want.

But not just that, Navi is ANNOYING as ♥♥♥♥! If I was the Main Character, I'd have killed and have a Monster eaten Navi by now. He is a selfish, self centered, egotistical jackass manipulating, controlling, and taking credit for everything the Main character does.

Now I will admit, I'm only in the very early stages of the game, just making it to the third zone, the now area for the first time in the story just after Ratha hatched. But even this short time, I want to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kill Navi. And his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying reminders are just as bad as Navi the Fairy from Zelda's Link to the Past! Maybe even more so as he actually actively STOPS you from playing the game, AND he actually speaks FOR YOU and controls what you do to drive the story forward.

It's annoying as ♥♥♥♥ and should just remove him from the game entirely. I hope modders get onto this game fast, and can just out right remove him from the story, just wipe his character complete, he is THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying to listen to, and not even getting to his annoying voice as well, gritting on my ears as he sounds like that one guy in the anime group, who realistically wouldn't actually exist, but is forced because the anime doesn't follow reality and lets the character get away with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything up for everyone and laughing it off as just the character being the character.

You're right my dude. Honestly best fix for this (works for World too) in my experience is to turn on subtitles and set the voices to something you don't understand. The mood turns from nagging cat to cute, quirky friend cheering you on. I don't understand a bit of japanese, so I can go by tone and glance at the text to see if I should care what he's saying. Yes, I think he's cute in an ugly kind of way. Granted I have so far only put an obscene amount of time into the demo, but I hated the trainer in MHW with a passion and this made her kind of pleasant. "Annoying character that needs to shut the ♥♥♥♥ up" is a universal game trope I think.
