Expensive money grab
AUD $100 for this game and then you have to pay additionally for changing your outfit? Never in my life. How stupid do you think your valued customers are?

While I do agree that the character change tickets DLC is bad DLC. The character change tickets DLC is changing your face and gender.

It's not "changing your outfit", you can do this anytime in game for free (along with hair and makeup).

The rest of the DLC currently are just cosmetics skins, of which there are some in game by default which you can get via bottlecaps.

If you mean the character edit vouchers, those are "only" used if you want to change your character's design from scratch. You can change your hair and hair colour, make-up and make-up color, as well as layered armor and armor colour without one of those vouchers.

Now, there's definitely a point to be made for why they should allow people to just change their character for free whenever they like, but I personally don't mind it much. You used to just not be able to change your character like this in the earlier MH titles, and only with World and Iceborne have they begun to give players this option.

As for the game itself, it's great and definitely worth the money if you like Turn-Based JRPGs with a monster collecting and optimization aspect, or if you simply like the Monster Hunter series and would like to give a more casual game a try. All of the current paid DLC is cosmetic and doesn't affect your gameplay experience in the slightest.

If you want to buy waifu dresses for a side character or outfits for a cat that doesn't even fight for you then feel free to pay more..
Or.. just buy the base game like most people and ignore the non story / level DLC just like we did with MH: World.

later in game you can craft layered armor you don't have to pay real money for that.

Look on other Capcom games. This is a fair thing. And by the way - this game is super awesome and devs really deserve your money in return for their hard work.

Just do what I did and wait for save editors like with Monster Hunter World. Changed my char numerous times with not a penny spent.

The point here is that for the premium price of AUD $100 you would at least expect that you will be able to change your character. Nope, you have to still buy a DLC for just doing that.

It seems there are no boundaries for corporate greed and as long as people are still foolish to accept and pay, they will find ways to milk their customers even more.

...and to Zizzy, you are missing the point. The fact that you have found an 'illegal' way to do it for free does not take away the fact that this company is trying to squeeze it's customers like a lemon for every extra dollar it can.

if by "money grab" you mean it was created to make money, then yea, you're right there. Like it or not, these little mini-dlcs have been the norm for capcom games for a while now. I would suggest not buying any capcom games if you don't want to support them.

@Norida LoL, you are already so indoctrinated and brainwashed by the big corporations that you are going to defend them so that they can continue to fleece you (probably your mother's) money.

Sorry mate, have to let you go, need people with some critical thinking.
