is this Game to easy?
So i love this game, since i am sick atm i could play it nonestop. i have around 60 hours in now and i think ive just done everything. So i have 3 Monsties for all Battletypes and alle fights are plain simple. Even ( SPOILER ) the secret Endboss was a joke compared to stories 1. so that why i asked myself is this game to simple or do i sweat too hard?

Well, wherever its "Too easy" Is up to you, its a personal thing.
Yes the difficulty is toys R US compared to stories 1, same can be said for the story and map layout.

Yeah ok so its not only my own feeling. Like for the Stories 1 secret Endboss i needed to create a op bosskiller Stygian just to get him down. and in this one i just used my Narga+ an random power monstie for transitionphases.

It really gets hard in High Rank when monsters can 1shot you so u have to think about when to dodge/block and when to use moves or items.

The problem with making end game monsters unbeatable by anything other than min maxing players is that 90%+ of your players will never experience that fight then. This is meant to be a more accessible Monster Hunter experience. With the main series, it makes sense to have some really hard end-game monsters that you really need to learn, but in a turn based jrpg with a kid as the protagonist and a pokemon like collecting system? eh..

Those types of games are always easy if you overlevel and min max, that's standard. That's why you never buy them and expect a challenge. The only way to make it more challenging is to intentionally try to stay weak. Don't level your monsters and don't upgrade your equipment unless it's absolutely necessary to get through a fight.

I'll disagree and agree to a degree here. High difficulty post game monsters/encounters should be the kind you have to learn and possibly prepare for even here but a min-maxxed monstie should NOT be required.

agreed on the prepare and learn part. I'm just not sure how this game with it's very basic rock paper scissors system could involve learning, unless it was some annoying thing like it changed attack type constantly and you had to just memorize this ridiculous list of attacks.

Preparing might be easier. Having to use certain elements (ala Alatreon in MHW), maybe having certain attacks that you had to had some sort of shield ability to mitigate the damage? Not sure
man I really did wish that monsters had those random attacks like in the first game, it is so difficult to struggle with anything in this game lol. the only difficulty I've experienced comes from AOE + multiple attacks in a row and even that becomes predictable

Good luck finding a match
If this dude has 60 hours and time to complain about difficulty he will have time to wait for a PvP match

there would be no skill in total rng though. How would that be an improvement?

What was great about MHS1 is that the monster attacks weren't random, but they had patterns of attacks they would use, like speed, speed, power, tech, and then it resets. You would have to learn these patterns and keep track of them, which added an interesting strategy layer. These patterns could also change if monsters became enraged.

There is a second ultimate dungeon after the first elders lair. That is "challenging" well its alot of gimmick trick you have to use to do the bosses. The first elder lair is pretty simple. The second is crazy because you need to utilize certain monster abilities and gear setups to be able to beat it. Not many have done this. But dont buy this on steam. Multiplayer is region locked you cant play it online. GG
