Jittering and stopping character

Hey fellow riders!

I have resume playing today, and I have noticed that my character keeps stopping every few seconds both when on foot and when mounted. It's especially bad when character is turning, but it also happens when character runs straight. It's like it hits invisible walls and freezes for a split second. Sometimes it comes to a full stop entirely. This has never happened before. Any ideas what's causing it and how to fix it?

P.S. I play with a PS4 controlled, have played through the entire campaign of the game and further on without any issues at all. Until tonight.

Not sure if this will work on PS4. On PC you have to go to the steam game in you library, select properties, and disable the steam overlay. Then also enable steam controller input. That fixed up the screen stutter right away for me.

for me, my controllers have drift so i need to play with a small deadzone. i had a similar issue but setting the stick sensitivity to "aggressive" fixed it completely (all in steam controller config)
steam also automatically sets a deadzone for your controller now tho, so might be worth checking to make sure it isn't too big or anything
otherwise what other person commented sounds like it should help
