Chances are if there are any useable items from this, they will be either a pack of consumeables or gear that you'll replace relatively early in the game anyways. At least, that's the pattern I see in games that sell extras like this.
Seriously tho, clam down.
Who just immediately jumps to the conclusion that a Monster Hunter game that HAS NEVER EVER had loot boxes before, would all of a sudden have loot boxes just because the description says it contains micro transactions?
Again clam down, and how about next time you post, just politely ask "Hey what exactly does this mean? could someone please tell me"
Read DFrost's post above, that sums it up perfectly
If anything it would be a LOT more tolerable if cosmetic only DLC... wasn't "The only good visuals".
Capcom has been slowly testing waters with lootboxes. Thier Resident Evil 3 multiplayer include lootboxes. They might put lootboxes in this game just to test things out.
That is how it always started.
Does that mean you're forced to buy it? No.
So why are you here?
Does it mean you have to buy it , NO .
The real question is:
If the in game grind has been made more challenging and slow because they locked something behind an in game purchase? Who knows, after all this is Capcom and this is not then a normal Monster Hunter game.
What this guy said.
I want the game to be a game not a casino like Fifa Ultimate Team.
If it is like FUT,then I will never buy this game. That is why I am here to find out.
If you think lootboxes does not forced you to pay, you are either
A) Extremely rich
B) A special individual.
I have never bought a single lootbox in Overwatch, i don't see how you can't just play the game and enjoy it without spending money?
It is psychologically developed in order to convince people. It especially tries to target people who are vulnerable (who are their main money source). In fact people with an innate tendency to develop addictions... ARE their primary target... AND are the ones who make them the vast majority of their profits.
It is actually kind of funny how vicious people are being just because they aren't the intended target of Lootboxes.
I have so much sympathy because EVERYTHING puts in lootboxes and you can't even just be a smart consumer and avoid games with them... because game developers have caught onto this fact and now put it in the game post-release whether it is multiplayer or single player.
the only dlc (excluding ultimate/expansions that are basically an entire game) that this entire franchise has ever had in it's life has been purely cosmetic stuff. forreal
