Dreadking rathlos

managed to get a nice egg but.. i read everywhere that dreadking rathalos outshines story ratha.. but im comparing attack and defense and i dont see how its better.. its almost caught up to my story ratha level with weak stats i understand putting genes on him helps a lot but i just having a ahrd time seeing it being better then story ratha

I'd say his stats should be fairly similar to Ratha, (if not the exact same) but Dreadking does have a weakness that's pretty rare in dragon. Also, isn't Ratha forced to use Savage Fireball and you can never replace it with anything else? If you ignore weaknesses, I'd say that's one thing that makes Dreadking better than Ratha.

Also, if this is your first deviant, they have slow growth and will only get significant stat boosts at lvl 50 or higher. Most Elder Dragons, with the exception of Nergi have also slow growth.

oh so i should wait on judging him until he hits level 50?
since he catching up in levels even as we speak also if fighting the ddreadking hard? or should i gather some elders and such .. also been gettig azure rathlos eggs latly from the dens then any other rathlos dreads XD

That depends on which level they are, dreadking has slow growth, meaning he gets better stats the higher his level is, usually they break even at around level 50, and only gets higher stats after that, still the difference isn't really big unless you're at level 90+, or comparing really low stats monsties (like Popo, Yian Kut-Ku, Zamtrios, etc) to deviants/elder dragons.

Dreadking should be all around better than normal Rathalos (and story Ratha) past level 50, meaning that if both of them had the same genes, etc. Dreadking should always be a bit better.

If ONLY King's Judgement was a gene... That move looked sick when i faced Dreadking first time. I literally got him just to get that but to see its not a usable gene. :(

Funny you should say that, as that actually is in fact a gene. For Silver Rathalos that is.
