You may find your answer in that post above, or your issue might be different entirely.
From my experience trying to configure controller, your problem either is
1) Deadzone problem (Deadzone is too big, or too small)
2) Rapid fire enabled (the input will not hold when you push analog stick, but recognize it as repeatedly mashing analog stick in same direction)
3) You have other source of input currently interfering (this is rare, but it once happen on me when I did not notice my gamepad is inputting L2/LT while I'm using Kb+M)
After messing around with my controller configuration and changed my stick response curve to aggressive, my analog is working smoothly now.
