Native 3440x1440 pc fix please!? Someone!? Anyone!? Capcom!?
Omg... 2021 and we still have to fight with a game to get NATIVE Ultra Widescreen. Not to mention the same company can release a game with it and then another without it... wtw...

So my screen is Native 3440x1440 144hz and I would love to PLAY the game in my native resolution! 2560x1440 is NOT the only UWScreen resolution!

Has anyone found a way to get this to work or could show me someone who did and PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ME THE CONFIG.INI FIX IT DOES NOT FIX THE UI OR THE NATIVE RESOLUTION!

I apologize for the caps but I have to point it because some r**tar*ed who think they know everything will come here to tell you that and for the full price of a game I cannot believe that we still need to rely on resourceful people who DO NOT GET PAID by Capcom to fix this sh**t.

Sigh...

Why are ultrawide owners such crybabies? If you buy a monitor with a non standard resolution don't expect all games to be compatible with it. Specially ports of AA games like this one. Be thankful if a game supports ultrawide and if it doesn't, ask for it, but stop complaining.

Seriously where in the world does it says in the world of PC Monitor that ANY resolutions are non standard? Not because tv and console chose to be at 16:9 that it mean it's standard. And like @Clayton says if it was the other way around you would be here complaining probably worse than we are.

Seems a bit entitled and immature to me.

I own a Samsung G9 32:9 monitor, and like half the games support it, and maybe half of those fully support it with FoV and HUD options. At this point you should be used to it, its the price you pay for being on the cutting edge. Nearly every game has some fix, however, if not at launch shortly there after be it via update or WindodowedBorderlessGaming or other such tool.

Yeah because ultra wide isn't the standard aspect ratio genius. You buy niche hardware and you get less support, not hard to understand.

yea, i dont get it either ... idk why you need to play everything at 4k. its just not standard yet. if a game is not optimized for it will you get even worse performance. and i doubt that ... since MHS2 in its core is a switch game, is optimized for 4k resolution xD

even the new consoles cannot do 4k 60fps on everything yet....
when it gets standard on consoles can ya complain x3

its simply not standard yet. and again to you too, its in its core a nintendo switch game. if you expected 4k here without issues bought you the wrong game.

the day will come where 4k is standard and peoples complain about that game x cant do porperly 8k resolutions xD

Seeing people throw around "cutting edge" and "non standard". CinemaScope has been around in the film industry before most of you were born. Consumer monitors is another story.

Most well known game engines scale the "viewport" to any aspect ratio without much of a issue. This includes unity, and unreal engine. Ultrawide is not supported usually due to a development choice of some sort. For example they use 2D raster assets for the UI and not vector. Most of the time you can blame the fact most games are developed for console.

This game specifically was a switch game ported to pc, not a pc game ported to switch. They did the bare minimum. That's about it.

UHD and 4k2k is no problem, my PC handles it fine - in 16:9, or 120fps@2160p

Every 21:9 monitor can handle 16:9 pictures, in most of the games the extra space you gain on the side is useless, unless the UI is fully customizeable, like in FFXIV or WoW. For a game like this I'll never understand why someone complains about loss of peripheral view when it's literally blurred as you focus on the middle of the camera anyways.

/edit: 21:9 or 21:10 will never be standard outside of the movie industry. Those aspect ratios are in decline in steam statistics since years and will die out, like 4:3, over the course of time.

And yes, in games this ratio shows itself very well, and many self-respecting companies have long been adding related ratios to the game natively. We are not in 2010, and we cannot say that these are rare monitors. They have been on the market for a long time and in a variety of price categories, so people can afford not to spend several thousand dollars for such a monitor, their availability is now at the level of the same standard 16:9 monitors.

next time quote with the correct name if you quote something. fact is, 4k is not standard yet. you can putt as many arguments up as you like. and i repeat myself again.

the day will come where 4k is standard and peoples complain about it that games cant do properly 8k. all those peoples which complain right now about the 4k thing will be probably part of it.
