Black screen problem (SOLVED)

Welp, I bought the game recently, and had the black screen problem since I started it. I have done everything, update the drivers, end task with task manager, download klite codec, check files with steam, wait like 10mins and nothing

I check the requirements and fulfill them, and I have no idea what to do :((


Edit: I tried everything. I even formatted the hard drive (which was still something I was going to do) and nothing, the screen was black. looking in post of other capcom games (apparently it is a common error in their games ._.) I saw that deleting the .dll files and the config.ini in the main folder of the game, and then having steam verify the files and I downloaded them again, got me to open the game, and play normally and smoothly. I hope this helps

From my experience, When you first boot the game up. Click on the window to make it the main window active. I assume the black screen is when you load up right? People say restarting your PC works too and reboot the game from a restarted PC.

Yes, it is when I load up the game. I try booting the game with a fresh start pc (restarting and doing nothing except clicking the game) but nothing :(

Nothing :( i exclude the game folder and the steam folder, and nothing still. i really want to play this because I am a huge fan of MH series, have like 600+hrs in MH world in ps4 :((

Re-installing could help? I already check the files with steam and all okay. At this point I would anything to play this:(

How did you end up fixing it?

Had the problem with black screen too sometimes and actually you only need to wait for 1-2 minutes and the game loads and starts, it happens sometimes and I've no idea why. BTW black screen is always there when you start the game, but it lasts only for 2-3 seconds, then the game starts loading. But sometimes it kinda needs more waiting for this step and instead of 2-3 seconds it's 1-2 minutes.

To add on to this, none of this worked. I spent hours trying to figure out how to fix it with no avail.

I went to the Nexus, thinking MAYBE I could find SOMETHING that might work. I downloaded a modloader (with no mods) on a whim because it said it relaxed the DRM just a little bit to enable modloading, and lo and behold my game finally loads.

Denuvo is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ plague. Disgusting, garbage anti-consumer software. I'll include a link to the modloader for anybody googling this issue who will inevitably find this thread.

yup this worked for me also, had to find it on github though as it's locked away on nexus. thank you and OP for the solution

Enabling anti-aliasing - FXAA in the NVIDIA Control Panel fixed the crash and black screen issue at launch. Hope this helps! 😊
