Qurupeco didn’t retreat twice in a row even though he had a 95% retreat chance both times

Not capcom's fault.
Some people have really bad luck, in FFXIV I was crafting stuff, had a 2% chance to fail, and it failed 4 times in a row.

When I was hunting my first Tigrex I had retreat fail upwards of 20 times in a row.. no joke.
It's just crap luck.

Quite likely a combination of den protector skill/gene, paintballs, and/or the monster's specific retreat conditions.

When they are defeated, amont the spam of notifications on the bottom right is one that shows the retreat rate % you got it to.
