This game's last patch was more than two months ago.
It's peaking at four concurrent players per day.
Your criticism is valid, but they are not going to fix this game. It has likely been abandoned already.
But I heard they want to release DLC, so maybe they're thinking of something? They screwed up the beginning of the release because the game isn't bad!
The DLCs are just cut content that the publisher decides to add at a later time. Same thing happened with Stray Blade, another indie souls-like. The team got laid off but months later the publisher still released a DLC to get some cash for a Cheeseburger. If the team would stand by their game, they would have worked harder. They didn't seem to care much about Deathbound so it's fine. Better to move on.
