The gum I've yet to experience on the Raider side
Pose often doesn't last long for me personally so I take that hit just fine.
Krillin's Shoe disables lockon for a short duration while Go Go Gum has the same property as the Raider. Ranged attacks like super attacks don't cancel Go Go Gum like it does for Krillin's Shoe. You need melee attacks to cancel Go Go Gum.
It seems Krillin's Shoe is better at annoying Raider at the STM or anything requiring interaction like finishing survivors. Go Go Gum is basically better for all other situations but has a longer cooldown.
Small difference, but if you whiff the shoe, you WILL eat Ki Blasts for it, while Go Go Gum is a bit safer.
For a bit of a comparison of the three (four if you wanna count Solar Flare):
- Solar Flare: Safe, Short CD, Disable Lock On, Easiest to counter (turn away), longest start-up.
- Charming Pose: Unsafe, Long CD, occasionally hits AFTER you get hit.
- Stinky (Krilin Shoe): Unsafe, Short CD, Disables Lock On, longest Range.
- Go Go Gum: Safe, Long CD, high Range.
Safe and Unsafe only apply if you miss the attack. Trust me, if you miss Krilin's Shoe, you WILL eat Ki Blasts.
Yup. Just had a game missing my Krillin's Shoe probably costed me my lvl 3 D Change and maybe the game. Just as I didn't think Solar Flare is good for high level play because of the long start up time I'm probably going to give up on Krillin's Shoe now for the long end time. Against experienced Raiders in high speed combat you can't afford to use skills with so much start or end time. Raiders love to spam Ki blasts and super attacks since they low costs. Definitely going to replace Krillin's Shoe with Go Go Gum if I manage to pull it. I'm just going to use Wall of Defense instead since it activates fast, can have clutch applications, and beneficial in high speed combat. You can even completely block super attacks, including the AoE attacks Raiders like to cheeze the high D Change survivors.
