Does it actually do anything to great ape vegeta? I tried to attack his tail while he was destroying the time machine and nothing happened, I kept the sword so i'm guessing it just wasn't registering?

Probably wasn't registering I guess, lag or something. The sword does damage his tail and its re-usable. Though idk if you could get more then one or two sneak strikes in before he gets angry lol.
