I still have no trouble finding matches, it's only dead once I can't.

Game would do better if it ever got above mixed reviews lol

It's not the first time I've seen this. The game did not work well enough so he degrades the game experience on purpose in order to kill him to stop game and server support.

It's developer practices that don't deserve as much attention. Personally,
I have a blacklist of developers who have done this kind of thing and from whom I would no longer buy any game from them!

If the reviews are mixed, it's not for nothing... A game can't get a positive review if the game isn't equally so

Complaining about player count in Off hours.

Gotta love how much these people really want to kill games like these.

The 24 hour peak should be a better a better measure for Steam numbers. The issue is the 24 peak of DB Breakers is too low for a big publisher like Bandai Namco. With the Dragonball IP, they probably had larger ambitions for the game. Currently, other Dragonball games now years old have more population than DB Breakers. Kakarot has 1,000+ 24 hour peak. FighterZ has 1,400+. Xenoverse 2 has 1,100+. Only Xenoverse and Heroes World Mission with less than 200 24 hour peak. It is a shame as i like all the interesting concepts in this game, but I'm not sure if it is a viable product/service long term. I will still ride or die with this game whatever time left.

The insane over monetization in a paid game and lack of any real match making killed the game.

The heavy monetization drives off most players as it makes normal game progression effectively nonexistent.

Even for F2P games breaker's monetization is insanely greedy due to the lack of bad luck protections. Getting 17's insanely powerful shield is effectively impossible without paying because of this.

Mind you Breakers isn't F2P which make all of this worse.

The second is the lack of match making just feeds new players to the level 100 wolves.

This makes it insanely hard for new players to even get into the game. Thus killing the game's ability to get and keep new players.

If this game was F2P I could see the gacha being justified. Until they refund everyone who purchased and give it away for free, I'll be advising everyone I know to stay far away.

They won't refund anyone who bought the game. They'll probably give you spirit siphon pulls or a clothing pack. Also the game's not dead. It only has long queue times because people have the fortnite patience and want to get into matches instantly and leave when they don't. Also, it has a low player count but at least it has players.

Sure the game is heavily monetized but look at their past titles. Look at xenoverse 1 and 2 for example how much money do you have to throw in for the dlc which has most of the better movesets than the base game.

Didn't they announce that they'd be going in HARDER on monetization with season 2 having paid only raiders/survivors along with more gotcha?

If they do then I think season 2 will completely crushed and buried the game under its own monetization weight.

really? there's always players on. it's a really addictive game. if they added another bonus dragon tier pass (mini "bonus" pass) with surprise killer beta or something like that, it be more fun. next seaosn with 1 map, 1 raider, and 1 pass just isnt enough... we need more :steamhappy:
