So Much Negativity.
So I've played Dead by Daylight, I absolutely hated every second playing it; even as the killer. And having experienced Dragon Ball: The Breakers game-play through the closed beta. I can assuredly say myself, that it wasn't a travesty.
I see so much negativity on these discussion boards about the game, yet it comes from people that haven't had the chance to play the beta let alone the final release. So their opinions don't hold water. Also, having played it myself and coming to my own conclusions it was a really great time. Trying to collaborate with people online to escape infamous anime villains. Hell, we even killed 'em a couple of times. I even got to play as the Cell once and it was fun.
The devs are also working pretty hard to listen and patch up problems in the betas that players have. I'm hopeful that this game will be fun, come October. There will possibly be more survivors like Mr. Satan and more Raiders like Goku Black or Zamasu in the future if the game does well enough.

In conclusion, Ya'll need to open up your closed mindsets and try something else that isn't a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3D Brawler like Xenoverse.

I don't understand DB fans...

It's not that I dislike the fighting but I'm a Classic DB fans that want to see more than just fights, I mean the franchise started as a humoristic adventure.

I enjoyed the original dragon ball as it did apply more tension to Goku and the other characters whenever they did need to fight and the dragon balls were harder to obtain to revive them if they died. This game seems like a good change of pace compared to the usual dragon ball experience, something different from just fighting. It gives the previous villains a chance to be intimidating again with their power rather than punching bags in the fighting games, especially when playing chars like Bulma, Oolong, and civilians who don't have the strength of the Z-fighters, so you have to avoid contact with them.

I hope the game does well enough to where some classic villains like King Piccolo and Garlic Jr make a return. They have not made much of an appearance in recent titles due to the power scale of late. This game presents some potential means of bringing them back in the form of Raiders and I look forward if they do along with other new and older villains.

True, seeing back Piccolo Daimao (as he was the first true major antagonist of the series even if Pilaf and the Red Ribbon Army were threatening the Demon King was the first one that gave Goku real troubles) and not another Freezer fanservice/nostalgia pandering would be good for once.

People forget that the entire Dragon Ball journey began the day Goku met Bulma.

Can not agree more with the general sentiment here.

And yes, it almost seems like a large number of the "fans" have not actually watched any of the series. The vast majority of the shows are exactly this game type stuff. Side characters, running around, trying not to die, while attempting to accomplish some crazy task, all while waiting for Goku to show up, or get out of a time chamber, etc, lol. This game is more DB than the other DB games where all you do is fight the fights.

Honestly it may or may not be an objectively "good" game overall or in the long run, but I really do not see a reason for so many people to outright troll or be crappy about it or the people who are interested. Let the game stand on its own like any other game. Wait and see how it does because no one is forcing you to buy in or play it and you are not owed specific types of games or media because you're a fan of -----

In a way fans want to play as a powerful alien monkey man than just an average joe even if they are still important.

I mean why defeating Buu and saving Earth if humans weren't there?

My favorite arc was planet Namek. I liked the components and moving parts. Multiple factions all racing to get the dragon balls. In particular, what I liked about it was that Krillin and Gohan were far weaker than many of the enemies they encountered. Thus they had to resort to stealth and tactics. I consider this some of the best dragon ball writing ever.

When I see dragon ball breakers I see old school dragon ball. You as the survivor are far weaker than Freeza just like gohan and Krillin were. you have to rely on tactics rather than brute force. Thats why I'm excited for the game.
