Improvements on the issue of EASY ANTI-CHEAT

We have partially fixed a bug that prevented the Steam version of the game from launching due to EASY ANTI-CHEAT.
If you are unable to launch the game, please use the Steam client to obtain the updated data.


To check for the latest update, right click below.
If the Build ID is "9625322", the game is the latest version.
DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS Playtest > Properties > Update


If the problem persists after updating, you may be able to resolve the issue by setting the game's installation folder and EAC installation folder as exceptions in your anti-virus software settings.

I think it will be interesting to also inform players in the playtest forum because they won't open thread problem in the official forum for this game.

I have a friend who still has an issue they cannot launch the game.

The issue goes like this.
1. The game first launches.
2. It shows a black loading screen with the Dragonbal at the bottom right.
3. Then it shows the error "failed to login into easy anti cheat"

When they try to launch the game again after those steps, it quits immediately after the EAC splash window shows up.

Adding anti-virus exception to the game did not fix the issue. Windows is updated and anti-virus is disabled.

Please provide Bandai Namco contact information so this can be resolved. And also please provide an official support line for Breakers.

EAC boots you out of matches on the steam deck

This should not be required for the game to run, please fix. Also, add cross-play and allow the game to run on Steam Deck!

You can create an exception in your antivirus (point it to the installation folder) and that will fix it!

I fixed the issue (I think) but now it won't let me play any more online games because I left too many matches (because of this stupid bug). This is a nightmare and a disaster of a game so far

Can someone make a video on how to do the installation folder stuff for DB Breakers? I’m new to the steam deck and pc so idk how to do much of anything on it and I’m having trouble with the anti cheat error too.

I don't think there is a way to get it to run on Steam Deck without installing Windows on it, unfortunately.

EAC is just a broken mess in almost every game it's in. Devs need to start using a better anticheat. I mean I've run into at least 2 hacking raiders in the short time this game has been live (one who went around and literally hunted down survivors as Spopovich, no matter where they were, never not finding someone, and the other a frieza who sniped me from over 200 meters away with the basic level 2 beam, which does not go that far). EAC doesn't work for what it's meant for and only harms those playing legitimately with all these issues. It's time to get it together and get better options devs.

Edit to add: the Spopovich also took no damage from survivors dragon changes and items (ie: rocket launchers and vegeta gloves).
