This is a bit sad story... 😢

Anyway, technically, Astaros3D is already actively working on My Cute Roommate 2, on his Patreon, and also in the related thread on F95zone, you can find more detailed information about it.
Furthermore, a second game, developed after the first My Cute Roommate, has already been completed, however it is speculated that it may have probably, and inexplicably, been rejected by Steam in the analysis phase (see Girl House) on September 2021, and therefore it is assumed that the developer may also have renounced to still have to do with the platform, since any reference to My Cute Roommate on Steam has disappeared from his Patreon page for almost a year now.
Meanwhile, last October and with the name of Astaros 3D (with the space in between), he had collaborated on publishing Island of Lust, a (very different) game from the developer Art of Lust.

Sorry to bring up this again, however there is a little news about that, in fact Astaros3D's Girl House will come to Steam on november the 30th as Lust & Life with a name change and little rework on the little sister, so there is also hope that My Cute Roommate 2 will come to Steam too, once finished :)

Edit: Sadly, it looks like the game was banned again 👿
