game is not fun anymore

i was in this game in the early come out, it was fun.. now it's just, at level 10 spam purple balloon then win.. it's lame

ok, first, its round 11. not ten. also the correct term is "round" not level.

second, its not hard to defend purple rushes. almost every strategy can defend them without a boost by round 11.

third, purple rushes WERE the META when the game first launched, idk where you where or what you were going, but people "spammed" purples WAAY more in the early days than they do now.

Purple spam has been the noob way of winning since the game was launched. I think it's a legitimate pacing issue and I've complained about it to the devs. I.E. you can defend rounds 1-10 with like $2000 worth of monkeys. Then defending rounds 11-12 often requires tripling your defence. And these are short rounds too. Purples wouldn't be much of a threat if you didn't also have to deal with camo leads and regrow rainbows all unlocking in the span of 30 seconds.

I'm fairly certain the situation is similar in BTDB1, where rounds 11+ can have big regrow zebra rushes (just an exemple). So it's not different there. It's the player's responsibilty to prepare defence against those possible rushes during the first 10 rounds (while also investing to earn more money later, like banana farms). It's a balance everyone need to find with their strategy + their loadout.

You aren't giving any arguments as to why you think the game is "one of the worst games" (pretty much like your useless review). So for me, you are just another angry kid that hate losing, instead of learning from your mistakes, and learn the game and strategies.

how to beat round 10 purples

use a tower that doesnt deal magic damage
glaive ricochet is good
cluster bomb is good
sniper 0/2/2 is ok good if you have multiple
tack blade shooter is good
spike-o-pult is good and upgrades into jugg so you have great camo lead popping

its not that hard

Hi, I am aware this thread is a little dated, but I just wanted to say that I've only played a few hours and I never once experienced this issue because I did the tutorial and it even has an entire area on purple balloons.

Did you even bother to try? Just save from doing games and the token thing every 4 hours to get better towers. I don't play as often as I could but I already have the druid, the apprentice, and the engineer.
