Can someone explain Sudden Death to me?

The past 3 games I have gotten to SD for the first time. When I get there my opponet's life turns from 150->148 then the game promtly shows that I have emerged victorious without us even duking it out in SD. Is this just because I have 30ish trophies?

Could someone explain? thx.

At round 40, the player with more lives wins. (anything past 150 lives doesn't count)

if you have less lives, Even if you are not at 0 lives yet, you will still lose.

if both players have the same life count, the match goes till round 50, and continues as normal.

if you leak even 1 life past round 40, you will instantly lose.

on round 50, your eco gets set to 0. if you nor your opponent does not leak, you will get a draw/tie and will not lose or win a trophy.

Why set eco to zero if the game instantly ends anyway?

your eco gets set to 0, whatever amount of money you have left is to rush with. when both players defend or leak the r50 BAD, it ends.

it will also go into overtime if both players are under 150 lives, you dont need exact life count

dont mean to necro this but i wanted to add this as a way to enter overtime as well

Ive gone into sudden death with both players having unequal lives so i dont know what to tell you lmao
