I personally don't believe VR is going to happen (at least anytime near release), but mentions of plans to bring the game to other platforms date back as early as the kickstarter days (with his hope to get them on "the big three" regarding consoles, and showing interest in a mobile port but saying it 'isn't likely'/'will be tough' thanks to the game not being designed for touch controls). even as of 2022 he still plans on porting BB+ to consoles (source)


as for VR, the initial mention of the game getting VR support can be found in this news post, in which it's shown on the roadmap that BBCR would be getting it first before that support gets merged into BB+
_ however, mystman's later clarified in a kickstarter update post that while mobile support is still planned for BBCR (and possibly plus, but not guaranteed), VR support might be biting off more than he could chew since he's hardly worked with VR before (he'd still love to do it eventually, though!)

Yeah, I also doubt it will actually come to VR since not only would it be hard, but the game is designed to parody cheap 90's education software so it just wouldn't feel right as an immersive VR experience. Also I just don't think it would even be fun, movement and actions are so basic the most your hands might do is open a can of BSODA.
