Mrs. Pomp needs some changes...
Before I explain my arguments, you should be aware that there is a risk of spoilers about v0.10 in this post.
Over time, the character Mrs. Pomp feels out of place in the game. The visual composition of her mechanics, compared to the rest, is dated.

1. Her timer, in relation to the floor time limit mechanic, is artistically inconsistent. How can this be fixed? Here are my suggestions:
When she's waiting for you in her classroom, she can replace the time limit timer with her own timer. This leads to:
- The player can take advantage of this to save time on the floor time limit.
- Mrs. Pomp will no longer be an obstacle to the floor time limit.
- Mrs. Pomp's timer will have a consistent aesthetic, as it will announce the player's remaining time from the TV and the advanced map.
[Please note that in v0.10 Pre-release, Mrs. Pomp no longer gives YTPs; this may be a bug, but it's not confirmed.]

2. The chase mechanic when Mrs. Pomp's timeout expires is somewhat broken. First, you can't get rid of her when she tries to drag you to her classroom; second, her turning invisible and trying to surprise you when you leave a room doesn't always work and seems out of place. [The ability to avoid being dragged is a coincidence outside of the character design.] The fact that she drags you is a quirk compared to the practical transportation provided by Principal of the Thing, and I emphasize that they both essentially do exactly the same thing. How do we fix this? Again, my suggestions:
[To support this point, I'm basing this on The Test rework (basically, it no longer moves when you're not looking at it, and it also no longer blinds you.)] Mrs. Pomp, in that chase state, without being invisible, will immediately head towards the player's position, but won't be able to move if the player is looking at her. Aesthetically, the composition looks great.
In the event that she manages to catch you, well, you could suggest it!
All of the above leads to:
- Having a consistent way to delay the consequences of not fulfilling Mrs. Pomp's request.
- The opportunity for the character to have a school-wide effect, like Dr. Reflex does, perhaps trapping everyone in giant heels and allowing them to move only by jumping.

I don't think she needs any changes, she's fine how she is imo
I personally don't think Mrs. Pomp is "out of place" in the game, either stylistically or mechanic-wise. The timer looks fine, in my opinion, and her ominously announcing "one minute left" with the text moving across your screen is great.

If she paused the floor timer while she was active, that'd be an interesting synergy, but not necessarily a good one. The floor timers are, in their current state, quite generous already.

The weeping angel-esque rework you suggested seems fairly interesting, and a nice callback to the Test's old mechanics, but it in itself seems kind of out-of-place. The Test worked because he clearly has something supernatural(?) about him. Mrs. Pomp is just an ordinary human (that's stuffed into a really large high-heel shoe but we don't talk about that). If she gets mad at you, she won't wait to charge you while you're looking away, she'll just grab you anyways. Plus, it'd be kind of awkward to just be able to stare at an angry Mrs. Pomp without her moving.
