Anyways, in 0.9a, Baldi's waving and apple eating sprites were changed to have blue pixels on his left arm. What do you think this is trying to tell us?
I guess the game is trying to be consistent (for once), since newer Baldi sprites will probably all have the blue elbow, which could make the old ones really confusing.

quite literally nothing. I think mystman re-rendered those sprites to change the expression/re-animate it, but happened to use file with the blue-elbow or somethin

Well, absolutely nothing's changed between the old and the new sprites except for the now blue elbow. I don't see any reason why mystman would re-render literally every shot of Baldi that shows his left elbow just to make it blue.

the new talking anims. since Baldi had new idle and talking anims rendered, it'd make sense to replace those in the main game so it's more consistent with the tutorial (plus I think that even if the expression did end up the exact same, the camera focus might be slightly different- like this comparison someone posted on twitter)

and then for things like the apple-eating sprite, just another random bit of consistency ig

His waving sprites were redone as well, meaning mystman would have either had to dig up the old animation he used and re-render it with a single change, or he had to go through all 50 frames and repaint 3 pixels on Baldi's arm blue for all of them.

Plus, "consistency" isn't a very good reason. Why not just render the new sprites with a gray elbow instead of going through a lot of Baldi's old well-defined sprites and changing them? We also know the game isn't supposed to be very consistent with art in the first place.

the blue elbow is more common than one would think- the current ending always used the blue elbow, as did the farm outfit. in fact, I'm pretty sure even the newer camping sprites in the camping minigames use a model with a blue elbow (though it's much harder to see thanks to the resolution/angle/lighting- easiest to see on the campfire frenzy idling sprite)

point being, I don't think an elbow means particularly anything lore-wise. imo that'd be a really weird thing to do considering how small the detail is

Maybe it's to symbolize something bigger, like someone's controlling him. Remaking a bunch of sprites that don't have the blue pixels just so they can have them has to be intentional.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's just for "consistency" and I'm just overthinking it. Still, I don't see why recoloring 3 pixels would be for consistency. It's a small detail that most players would simply glance over.

We don't actually know if he kills us. Maybe he's just going to gently tag us with his ruler and say something like "Found you!". Whatever Baldi does gets cut off by a glitchy buzz sound and we go back to the elevator.
