Plus, "consistency" isn't a very good reason. Why not just render the new sprites with a gray elbow instead of going through a lot of Baldi's old well-defined sprites and changing them? We also know the game isn't supposed to be very consistent with art in the first place.
point being, I don't think an elbow means particularly anything lore-wise. imo that'd be a really weird thing to do considering how small the detail is
Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's just for "consistency" and I'm just overthinking it. Still, I don't see why recoloring 3 pixels would be for consistency. It's a small detail that most players would simply glance over.
