and from what I know about it- never personally played the game but saw vids on it- it's kinda interesting. not the best by any means, but at least an interesting attempt to make something new while also trying to look confusingly similar to another game
it doesn't have the best programming (you go faster if you walk+strafe at the same time), the characters are rather repetitive (3-4 of them just freeze you in place in different ways), and it can be a bit gimmicky, but the person behind it didn't just remake Baldi either
what definitely isn't a good look is a lot of decorative assets- low quality decor textures (mostly on walls, some with text that's hard to read), and even straight up just stole the Principal sprite and put a new head on him for one of the posters (visible on the left in the trailer when the player first enters the school, as well as the 3rd to last picture on the store page. iirc the actual in-game principal NPC doesn't have that body, so it must've been a leftover).
at least one version also just had a bunch of memes stolen from the internet? but I don't recall if that's the free version (which is much older) or the steam version... I think the person behind it also changed the jumpscare sound at some point, too
but on the other hand it's very obvious what the inspiration is and it does just look/feel very much like a knockoff pretending to not be one
this thread was dead for just under 2 weeks and you didn't really comment a statement that contributed a lot to the topic, so if quality is really more important than age to you please at least comment something that contributes more than a generalised statement if you must revive older threads?
additionally, I never said Baldina's Basis was necessarily good (even said "not the best by any means"), I said it was interesting... so I'm very confused by what you're getting at and I'm not sure I want answers
Also, you could just look at the last post release date.
1) if not much more could be added to the thread
2) if the above is true and the last comment was made around half a month ago or longer
(there's technically a 3rd reason- it was buried by more relevant threads actually about the game this forum is for -but with the influx of suggestion threads things are bound to get buried :p)
#1 might be a bit subjective, but I'd say there's not much more that can be said about what Baldina's Basis is after people have replied "it's a fraud", "it might be a fangame that looks/feels heavily like a ripoff, with bad programming and assets", and "this game literally took assets from Baldi's Basics" (which would contribute to it being a fraud/ripoff, which has been stated before)
after you've gotten upset at me prior, I wouldn't of said anything about it if you said something that could better continue the conversation ^^'' I'm sorry if you meant to contribute to the convo, but it's sorta hard to respond to a generalised-but-true statement that's already been brought up in a way in the thread
(there's more reasons a thread may be considered dead, e.g. if reviving the thread would cause confusion due to it being about an outdated topic or it's a question that's been answered- which technically the latter applies to this thread, but since the question is a bit open-ended I didn't take that into consideration much)
