wiki is also a big thing managed by the fandom so there's bound to be obscure places where information is a little outdated or mistaken
But what exactly is wrong with it?
edit: wait, why are the pre-releases even being treated as an update to the Kickstarter demo in the first place? I know that in a literal sense that's what happened for kickstarter backers, but that feels misleading
and although I did eventually figure out how to download the demo via console (I was getting confused because I couldn't find any mention of the kickstarter demo in the files), the only Manifest ID listed on SteamDB for the demo is for Windows- meaning Mac and Linux users can no longer access the demo either (at least natively)
It's probably simpler to do that, and maybe it makes it more clear that the pre-releases are for Kickstarter/Patreon only, as they fall under the category of "Kickstarter Exclusive Demo".
_ ...and now, for the most part, is no longer playable
I suppose all this is to say that even if Patreon members didn't have access, I still wouldn't consider the prereleases as an update to the Kickstarter demo since the intent differs. the KD was a more complete demo as a reward for backing the Kickstarter (that didn't reflect how the public product would look), meanwhile the prereleases are basically just "hey, as a thank you for your support before, want to access the next update a week early?"
idk. I understand that it's easier that way and it's technically true, but as I said it feels misleading
