it's the creator's game, and thus his decision. (and based off the specific wording of "field trips" in this tweet, I think that 2D trips are very likely the plan from here on out)
I personally like the new camping trip so although the old camping trip was good too, I'll also have to say "No"

just because the new field trip is too difficult, doesnt mean he has to add the old field trips back,

So,I like the new field trip.I know it's a little bit difficult because you have quickly to solve the math problems,but the new field trip isn't so bad that it has to be replaced with the old one.The old field trip was even a risk,because : if you lose,you'll lose your items.But remember,that there's an extra game for the field trip,which was made before the kickstarter.But my opinion is "Nope"

I have to say that I might like it to be added back, but at the same time, maybe they don't need added back or to replace the new 2D ones, we just need some completely rethought 3D field trips that are done in a way to be thrilling and fun. This means jumpscares in field trips once again and maybe some elements different from the main game. So I'm saying no, but there should be new 3D field trips done in a completely new way.

NO, even though I miss the old version of this game, I like the new version, it's more creative than doing what it was originally.

Yes, I think the new field trips are awful, bland 2d excuses for the old versions. The camping trip was great and so was the farm but if the old trips aren't coming back to this game I'm not coming back to it either.
