how do you buy a backpack

ok here's the deal what's in the gas station is actually a SET of 3 backpacks, which is why when you notice every time you try to purchase it, it says like $215 instead of $75. So what you need to do is ALT+drag that backpack into your inventory to where it says you only have 1 and then buy it. Now, once you have it, you can't equip it right there. You have to go back home, go to one of the desks/dressers with room, take everything you have in your inventory and put it in them including your current backpack, and then put the new backpack in place of where the old one was.

in addition to Tactrix post because what he says is the first thing that came to my mind that you might be doing wrong....

but in addition when you get home, put the large backpack/all items... in the cupboard

then drag the small one to the dustbin in your inventory slots, to drop it before then getting the big backpack and applying it. if you drop the small one first everything in it stays in it lmao

that had me saying WTF for a few seconds ;)
