Grid does not start

Hello. I wanted to come back to the game after many years. I downloaded it, installed it. When the game starts, a black screen with the "GRID" logo appears for a moment,
After a while it loads on the desktop

The system is Windows 10/openal installed

Hi, I had simillar problem and it took me ages to figure it out. the Steam version of the game is a bit broken sadly due to DRM...
What people suggested me is to try a different EXE, such as the EXE from GOG because it has no DRM protaction
Since the game is no longer on sale you can find a copy of it on the Internet archive

That's where I downloaded the game from...

Now in my case the game still didn't work and people suggested me to install the NTcore 4GB patch.

After installing it and restarting my computer the game finally worked.

So I can only suggest you to try doing the same as I did.

Nothing helps. the game starts. the grid logo appears and it crashes

Nothing helps. the game does not start at all and gives error 51

Go to folder \system\ where you have Grind installed for Steam:
for example:
\Steam\steamapps\common\Grid\system\
find file
hardware_settings_restrictions.xml
and remove it from folder.
fixed issue for me on MSI Katana GF66 Gaming Laptop
