[ SOLVED!] Flashback ability in game not ?.. but is Functional using INSTANT REPLAY.

Well if I am not wrong, the button should be the Enter key ( "Esc" I think he meant to say) and once you have chosen where you want to play off, you'll press the F12 key to continue from. I also agree that the difficulty is quite large but usually I play at Easy if it gets too much for me. One thing I do like about the difficulty is that it makes me feel the nuances of each cornering to take in the race tracks.

You dont have to crash (totaled) to use flashback. To use flashback press esc then pick instant replay. In the replay pick whenever you want to start over then press F12.

I'd like to give you the smart alack response of "Just don't use Flashback." But that wouldn't be nice so I won't. I don't, by the way. As a career singe player I just hit Restart until I get an acceptable finish. I play on a single 24" display - life is much simpler than I imagine it must be for you heavier hitters. But I'm still having a blast with GRID since 2008. And I really don't use Flashback, though it occasionally pops up when I'm flailing about the keyboard.

That is ok with me but you are saying with this that you know the secret Flashback key. What is the flashback method in GRID is the main Question. I think it is there for consol guys with a key button on their couch consol.... .. I think I saw 4 Flashbacks for this game and seeing solutions on web above which do not work. So what is the normal Flashback method on GRID?

Sorry about that. I've never had a Flashback run long enough to figure out how to use it, other than tune the playback to the minimum so as to get out of it as quick as possible.

I'll load up and see what happens in my installation.

I ran several races in Race Day and didn't get any more than what you got. I don't know any thing about a "secret key." Far as I can tell, that's all there is - Instant Replay.

Do you want a flashback to work both in grid 2 and autosport, through one return button? Did I understand your essence correctly?

I can already assign a key to Flashback with Grid 2 and Grid AS, but noticed cannot for Grid. There is mention of Flashbacks available but cannot see how to access them.

But ..really you are right... just restart race. Hey this is one of the few very user friendly fun race game and is tons o fun.

I do not care now... that cat was right...this game is just SOOooo user FRIENDLY and fun across the boards I just love it now. I am learning the ropes and RESTART RACE is the option anyway. I get Flashback Bonus $ at the end pay off rewards screens so I am assuming this is from NOT having some hidden Flashback system use and so paid from not using... Maybe some Consol manual it says how to do it Flashback.

Has anyone tried this ESC, chose instant replay, use f keys to revert play video, then press F12. Is this how the they Ported Flashbacks to Grid in PC game?

Well I finally tried it and it Works ..Flashbacks ARE fully functional in GRiD on PC!!!

.. Press ESC or an assigned on wheel to get Menu popping up. Quickly choose Replay video choice and press the F2 key or F3 ...whatever is above the Rewind...Stop and PRESS F12 key to Use a Flashback and every non use pays you. Flashes Screen ... SO. All Grids have Flashbacks which help in time wasting fun.

Set your INSTANT REPLAY BUTTON for fast access response JUST after or during spinout/ screwup... like Top Right of wheel button..this will pause game and pull up Menu. Choose Replay ...go to hands over Keyboard F keys and use left hand to Press F2 and Rewind to start... instantly press F12 key to Enable Flashback to prior crash and have foot ready to brake as that was the prior thing missed. Very little time here so it has to be instant Replay Button. You can have 5 at lowest Difficulty and not have to Restart game with same Replay button menu. I think Difficulty levels are not JUST erasing Flashbacks but increasing other things but I do not know.

Use Enter key. It doesnt rebind even if you use other key for instant replay. You just press enter when you want to flashback into.moment youbrewoujd to.

Caping my game at 60fps with RivaTuner Statistics Server solved this problem for me
