Tom Kristensen as teammate!?

Ok i was watching some Le mans videos on youtube. After that my fingers where itching for some grid nostalgia Le mans races. looking at career mode racing only, in my opinion nothing comes close to Racedriver grid. so amazing.
Anyhuuh.. i was nerding this game back in the day, and for sure i remember being able to hire Tom Kristensen as my teammate late into my career, and also both Rick Scott and Nathan McKane from Ravenwest.

Although in this nostalgia career im currently in season 17, having won all races and beaten all Ravenwest heads up and won Le Mans every single year in my chosen class, except one, letting TomK win, cause maybe he wanted to be my teammate after that. but no.

It has been too long and i cant remember if there is some specific thing i have to do in order to unlock hiring the top tier rival drivers. If anyone knows anything, please let me know.

I need my TomK teammate :)

Did you even read my post?
In my post i stated that it is possible, i have done it.
I have been driving multiple Le mans back in the day with Tom Kristensen as my teammate. And i was able to hire Nathan and Rick as well. But why would i when i could get Tom K.

Dont pretend to know stuff when you dont dude, there is just too many of you on the internet. I was going through google before i wrote this post, and the amount of times i had to read your answer didnt really bother me until it was the first comment in my own topic like wtf.

Tom Kristensen is not available as teammate and neither are either of the Ravenwest drivers. Actually none of the hirable drivers actually belongs to a team. Considering your reaction was that of a 12yo I assume that the 6yo that played the game might have had a bit of an imagination and remember things differently than they truely were.

You can hire teammates directly from the driver rankings and they all have a team. Apparently you don't know everything.

Furthermore, you state that he gives the correct information. Thats is incorrect, as i already stated and it was in fact what fueled my somewhat harsh repsonse.
You then proceed to further add incorrect information to the table. You probably have been sitting there using the search parameters in the teammate menu, instead of hiring them directly from the driver ranks.
You just confirmed my statement about there being too many pretenders on the internet, not knowing there stuff.

Probably just trying to defend your steamfriend or whatever, i can respect that.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO HIRE MOST DRIVERS AFTER COMPLETION OF THE GAME, INCLUDING TOM K AND RAVENWEST DRIVERS.

My memory of this is very clear as i played with a dear friend of mine, which i am no longer able to see, and miss very much. This dear friend introduced me to this game. And we both was able to hire almost every driver on the rankings after completion of the game. I am not able to remember what triggered that ability, but i am going to find out and post a screenshot when i do.

You are completly wrong dude, i have played Grid so many times beaten Nathan Macane and Rick Scott several times. Both in races and overall in team standings, but i could never hire them anyway. Since they are our arch rivals in the game, i think you are confusing this game with Autosport. Because in Autosport we could be teammate with Mccane and Rick Scott,only diffrence they hired us since we couldent create our own. And i doubt it will be diffrent in Grid 2019 either, yes we know we can creat our own team. Alonso will be the legendary racer instead of Tom Kristensen. But i doubt we will be able too hire him either, like we couldent with him.

If I remember correctly, when you become the top driver and your team ranks as the most valuable, you can practically hire any driver you want. I actually remember seeing Rick Scott's name in "driver search" menu.

Can confirm that Rick Scott, Nathan McKane and Tom Kristensen aren't available for hire as they don't have any hiring information to go with. Assuming this is the vanilla version and not a mod, it's impossible to hire any official team driver (All the LM teams) or Key Team Drivers (Like Top Secret, Yuichi Naito, Toyo Team Hurricane), except a few Lumenition and maybe the Team Shark drivers.

Take it from me, a long standing veteran and I've delved into the game's programming, they cannot be hired unless you mod the game.
