2. GRID is weird like that, the game is more of an arcade racing game with weird physics.

As for the flashback thing, I have not much of an idea, I know replays don't work if you don't have (I think) at least 2GB of free space on C.
turning vsync on, made flashback instead last about 8 seconds (because I have a 85hz monitor, instead of 60hz).
