Does the DEX stat do anything??

I mean other than scaling your weapon? Like in many soulslikes and RPGs in general Dexterity usually affects multiple aspects of your build. But I don't notice any buffs to any of my abilities. No faster attack animations, run speed, no faster/nimbler dodges, no stamina boost (since no stamina lol), I guess STR probably does the same thing. So these aren't really typical RPG stats, they're more like only boosts to specific weapon types?

I feel I cheated myself by going with my typical dex build in this game. It feels like all I did was make the game harder.

When you add points to an ability, all your stats that will increase is shown in blue. Dex will increase damage for Dex-based weapons and probably increases certain resistances too (I do not use it so I don't know, but as I said, everything it affects is shown in blue when you are increasing its value).

Oh yes I remember it effects resistances and outgoing elemental damage as well. Yeah so I basically tricked myself creating my build,thinking I was going to have a quick, nimble dude who is slightly squishier than a Brawler. But the reality is I just made the game harder for myself. lol. It's ok though, I just hit 55% progression and I think I'm doing pretty well now :)
