Go left, kill the flying sister. Climb the ladder and go right, killing the two priests along the way. Continue further and kill two more priests and the big guy. Jump on the chandelier, dash to the (shortcut) ladder to the right and climb up. Enter the first door on your left.
Kill the 3 enemies and the Giant Patron, and go back inside.
Drop down to the left, all the way to the bottom. Kill the three enemies. Jump over the sarcophagus' and kill the big guy and the enemies surrounding him.
Return to the save point.
If done correctly, you gain about 20.000 Nycrux in about 90 seconds or so.
EDIT:
Should mention that this is a *very* late game farming method, whereas the OG is more midgame-ish. So both have their place. :)
Fron the savepoint go one room to the left: 1 x 1,150 EXP for the flying enemy with the spear
Then go up into the church. From the hole in the floor go to right:
2 x 310 EXP per monk
Go further to the right:
2 x 310 EXP per monk and 3,800 EXP for the huge enemy
Then go to left:
2 x 310 EXP per monk
1 x 520 EXP for the monik with the shotgun
1 x 390 EXP for the flying enemy taht comes down
Then go to further to left:
2 x 310 EXP per monk and 3,800 EXP for the huge enemy
Ypu can even go further to the left, but depending on you health it might be better to end the run.
That's 12,000 per run without EXP booster and it takes less than a minute (with 99 strength and any weapon on level 10).
99 STR?? Aren't stats capped at 50 with some characters being able to go up to ~56?

From the Frozen Caverns altar located in the Damned Ruins of the Osseus Fortress region, take the lift to the right and exit to the right once you're at the top.
There are 8 banshee enemies that drop 750 EXP baseline, 901 EXP with a hungry essence and 1,050 EXP with a starving essence.
At baseline that's 6k a run which I can do in under 45 seconds with my +8 Ethereal Great Blade which will smoke them each in 3 hits and in 2 hits if one of those is a critical hit.
I'm level 90. My strength is 50.
Of the 3 charms I have equipped, 1 of them is the Moonshade Charm for +15% physical damage and 1 of them is the Grey Moon Charm for +8% critical chance and +12% critical damage.
You can get to this area relatively early and this has been my go-to farming spot since I found it.
You're welcome.
Attack power is 1,130 with the Etheral Great Blade on Level 10. The point of of diminishing returns is around level 50. The reason to level up even further is defence and resistance. Bosses still take quite a while even with 1.130 attack power (about 700 damage per hit).
It's six banshee enemies. 6 x 750 = 4,500 EXP without EXP boosters. If you can kill each enemy with two hits, you need 54 seconds until you reach the saveponit again. I stopped the time with my smartphone.
If you use the church route, you can kill all enemies on the floor of church in 82 seconds for 14,000 EXP. The Rift of Blood katana upgraded to level 10 can kill groups of enemies with R1 + X or R1 + square within five seconds. There are five groups of 2 to 3 enemies on the floor if you clear the church from the entrance to the altar and avoid going up.
I did build up a good amount of Nycrux, died... Then on my way to get it I died again without getting it. Upon return got the lesser amount of Nycrux (obviously). So while it's a good location - cash em' in after a few goes! Milk those stats up!
Also my weapons that scale with other attributs than strength do not get better if the attribut reaches about 50. I'm going to level all attributs up to 50 and then stop if there is no scaling advantage above 50.
I didn't actually time myself when killing them, but I guessed it was about 45 seconds and it still might be faster than your time of 54 seconds depending on playstyle and reflexes, but it wasn't a contest bud. Still, thanks for the work.

The numbers are the EXP you gain per enemy without EXP boosters. The enemies outside the church drop "Hungry Essences", so you don't have to buy "Hungry Essences" in the mansion.
Edit: There is MUCH faster way to levle up on YouTube...
