Beehive placement!
Does it matter where I put my beehive? Close to things I want pollinated? Will ants or lizards eat the bees inside? I don't want to waste good bees, please advise. Thank you.

The bees are flying to nearby trees. So I guess the shorter the way the faster they generate honey, but not sure if this is counted or just visual flavor. Don't think they even need flowers.

The pollination plays not really a role. It takes like 40h of real life time for a tree to die and be replaced with a seedling, by this time you have probably completed most of the game anyway.

Bees are immune and invincible against everything, so no worries there.

Beehives give Honey every 7 Days. AFAIK, Beehives got a Radius of 25 Tiles. (Square-shaped, I guess) The Chance to pollinate Trees in that Radius, and grow 2 Seedlings for 1 dying Tree, is random but minimal.
