How do I make a multiplayer game my friends can join?

Whenever I try hosting none of my friends can connect to me and when I try to connect to them they fail as well. Is there something we need to do?

Unfortunately, we weren't able to provide dedicated servers for launch. Making a multiplayer server your friends can join is a bit of an involved process, which you can read here https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=5452-TASB-6078

ok so i tried that solution but nothing seems to work, soo...
what can i do to play with my friends?
is there a plan in the future to add dedicated servers?

play lan start server type status in console see ip then using the other computer type connect [the ip]
