Guide: How to Set a Username's Color

King of Crabs uses hex color codes[htmlcolorcodes.com] to set the color for usernames. All you need to do is take the 6 character code corresponding to the color you want and put it in brackets before your username.

Something along the lines of [B92F12]nameHere.

Several online resources like the one linked above can show you which number set corresponds to which color.

You know. Devs wont answer this question when it is asked. Because it's suposed to be a loosely garded secret. this just ruins it.

If knowing how to change the color of your username is a point of pride for someone they really need to take a step back and look at their own situation.

I posted this because of how many times I saw responses of "Mmmmm it's a secret" when people asked how to do so. I assume most of the users are no longer in elementary, so I hope they start to act like it.

yeah dude it works,but my name is Crab's God Pixie and if you ad in name brackets with 6 numbers you will have only 8 letters for your name including "space" for your name instead of 16. So i have rethink my name. hmm

You can use unicode characters to make them italics, this bypasses the need for tags like the color codes. This[www.w3.org] table lists quite a few of them, though there are also several converter tools available online to automate the text for you.
