Technical Test: Tips & Tricks
Welcome Clone Jockeys!

We’re excited for you all to get your first hands-on experience of DEATHSPRINT 66 in this Technical Test!

The playtest will unlock access to multiplayer PvP racing, while the PvE and Rehearsal modes will be disabled. To make sure you get to the best possible start, here are some top tips for getting up to speed:

Tip 1) SPRINT! Always hold the Sprint button (Right Trigger) as you race- every second matters! And to get a boost from the starting line, pull the trigger as the last red light fades.

Tip 2) DRIFT! Hold the Left Trigger! Drifting around corners not only maintains your momentum and helps you dodge death but will reward you with more Surge you can use! Your clone is also easier to control if you drift.

Tip 3) SURGE! Drifting and collecting the lightning bolts around the course will provide Surge, giving you extra speed! Use this wisely, as the faster you go, the more likely you’ll lose control and meet a gory end.

Tip 4) Momentum and Flow. While slow and steady may not win the race, fast and reckless won’t reward you either! Retain momentum by using all the track available to you – such as wall running, rail grinding, and ziplining.

Tip 5) Get some assistance with Tributes. Collect the blue coins around the map to unlock an ability, such as the deadly Giga Saw and Enraged Charge! These can be deployed either forwards or backwards so use them wisely! Who doesn’t love to add a bit of chaos to the already crazy race?

Finally, for the best experience, we recommend using a controller. The default controls, when using an Xbox controller, are:

RT: Sprint
LT: Drift
Left analog stick: Steer
Y: Use Tribute
X: Surge
A: Jump
B: Fire Backwards
