Static Crane hook not rotating or picking up

As the title says basically.

I have purchased the game today and started the tutorial, and am at the point of trying to lift the street lamp off of the supermarket in the EU Tutorial.

I hop into the crane, get the circles lined up, and then I cannot rotate the hook or pick up the street lamp. It is almost like it is completely ignoring the SHIFT + Left/Right, and spacebar.

Can anyone offer any help or advice other than 'skip task'? It worries me this may be a reocurring bug if I just skip it or maybe I am just doing something wrong.

Just to stay secure: There is a ring symbol hovering above the lamp post. Move the hook into the ring and it will change its colout to green. Now you can press the button to hook it. After the lamp post is hooked, you can move and rotate it to place it into position.

I'm a bit surprised at your key assignments. SHIFT + Left/Right sounds like an assignment for a trailer.
