I feel like once you have bought all the machines you need for jobs, there really is no point in money lol. Do you guys just stack a crazy amount when you get to that point in the game?

You got it, there is no point in money because money is a medium of exchange and in this game, you can only exchange money for machines (mostly, except materials etc). So, no need for machines equals no need for something to exchange. Or short said: you feel right.

PS: I forgot to mention that you can also transfer company money to your profile and back. So it's possible to have one big "account" for both maps (if you are using the same profile) and you can also take it into MP sessions and transfer the money to another player and so...
