Question about the drilling machine
Is this thing bugged? I cant get the cans to go down to at least 75% The drill spins but stops removing dirt. I have watched many videos so I dont think I am doing anything wrong. I have also tried resetting the machine with no luck, drill still stops half way down. Whats the problem here?

Once the % gets to 75% then it's time to pour concrete into the pipes for the extra 25% (Has a fan icon to indicate concrete pouring required).
The symptoms you have described suggest you have reached that point without realising.
However since you have watched plenty of videos on "how to", It is possible you are experiencing a bug.
I hope you figure it out.

But I said in my OP that I never make it to 75%. Drill stops digging at around 50% to 65%. The auger will spin but doesnt remove dirt

Clearly I misunderstood but In your reply to me you were more descriptive.
Dare I ask a question to help further... no.
Apologies for trying to help.

My question is still unanswered. Is the drilling machine bugged? If not, how do I get it to work properly?

There is no known issue with the drilling rig. Did you try to reset it? Or to restart the mission?

Works flawlessly for me, but you need to get familiar with its operation. I just followed videos and it worked.

Replies seem to suggest nothing wrong with the operation of the machine and so my previous suggestion about it could be bugged appears wrong.
Perhaps you need to take another look at videos on how to use it.

You can move the rotary assembly (with the drill) up and down, and you can move the drill further down as well. To me, this sounds like an issue with getting the drill down deep enough.

For machine operation, you need to push down the two pipe rods (first the yellow ringed one, then the other once the yellow is seated deep enough) using the rotary assembly.

However, the drill will collect dirt in this process, so once the drill is full of dirt (yellow filling indicator in the lower right display), you need to disconnect the rotary assembly (if necsassary), pull the rotary assembly up until the drill is free and in the air. Now rotate the drilling rig to the side, so the drill is still over some surrounding dirt surface. This is important, so it is registered as a working site where dirt can be dumped. Use the function for drill rotation and alternate between directions to "wiggle" the dirt off of the drill.

Now, re-enter the drill (and re-attach the rotary assembly if necsassary) until both pipes are fully seated. Then you STILL need to lower the drill deeper down until the job indicator for the hole reaches the 75%.

I had drill holes where I had to remove dirt three times to get everything fully seated and reach the 75% job status.
