How do I cold plane a street with no assistant?

I figured out how to use the cold planer, but I don't have anyone to drive the dump truck. I am currently trying to mill a street, but have to keep stopping every 10 feet or so to move the dump truck. This is going to take forever. I tried using an assistant for the truck, but the only options he/she gives me is to empty the truck, or fill it with sand/gravel/soil. So do I have to avoid all jobs that require milling? There has to be a better way to this.

At the moment, you just dump the millings on the ground (it just disappears), the game doesn't have an AI assistant yet, so unless you have a 2nd human player, yes, you are throwing away some amount of money you could reclaim.

I am new to this game and came across this as I was also frustrated that you must have a teammate in a single player game. It's been a year and a half. Can't something be done about this game play flaw? Very disappointed

You don't have to have a friend in multiplayer. In single-player you can simply throw the material to the side...and after the task is finished your invisible co-workers will clean up the mess.

What we really want is a way to collect this asphalt and be able to sell it
