Surely you don't expect a 200-page illustrated guide to be included for free with a game.
I remember in the early 2000s buying some guides for the Myst series of games, if only because I liked to collect everything related to them.
That's called a manual! What rock have you been living under?
But this is not a manual but a strategy guide. They exist since the very beginning of video games, nowadays to a much lesser extent than in the past as the internet kinda lowered their relevance.
They are also available for practically every relevant video game out there, see the giant Amazon section: https://www.amazon.com/Games-Strategy-Guides-Books/b?ie=UTF8&node=87
And this Wikipedia article about the history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategy_guide
And also this awesome Video from Scott: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTgQF0L4w2o
There's also a bunch of them on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/search/?term=Official+Guide
In addition, we don't earn anything if you buy it here, proceeds go to the company that actually made the guide with our allowance. We thought it was a cool extra gimmick. And if you don't like the hard copy, we think having it at least digitally available is a nice extra.
(I bought the Breath of the Wild strategy guide back then because it was cool to read through, never needed it when actually playing the game 😄)
Main problem is this: "in-depth information about the game ". That should be IN the game, not having to look up in guides or "google" to find out how much a bucket can load.
ALL of that should be in the game!
But hey, now we can pay €10 for all this info every other "sim" already have "for free" IN THE GAME yay
Als konstruktives Feedback nebenbei erwähnt.
Also ich würde das Geld ausgeben für ein gutes Update oder eine DLC mit neuen Kampagnen oder Städte. Aber nicht für ein "Handbuch"
Uh yes, one would expect a manual for free no matter how many pages. They are afterall DIGITAL prints not hard copies. No costs for distribution, sales and service. Just a download.
Civ4 and even earlier versions like original Civilization which i got way back in the late 90s came with a hardcopy book the size of a novel. You didnt pay extra for that now did ya. A manual is part of a game not an additional extra like they all do now with selling bare bone games and adding useless crap to it or things that should be in it or modders filling in the gaps. Does one buy a new car without an owners manual?
This is a strategy guide, not made by the developers of the game. Like all strategy games that were written for hundreds of games since 35 years. I had one for Myst in 1994.
Lol, this is Construction Simulator, hardly a survival first-person-shooter. Besides, strategy guides back in the day were actually worth paying for because they were physical printed books and no internet resources for guides e.t.c.
