Originally I played the PSP release of this game.
It looks like this is the same as the PS4/Switch version that has some additional content using Unity as the game engine. This version is a port of the 3DS version, which is a port of the PSP version, which was a rework of another version that was a port of some other versions. the list is big ok.
With this release being voiced and using the updated translations, I can highly recommend it over the original steam PC release.

For a game that's originally from RPG maker, it's legitimately got some scary parts and the atmosphere is really immersive.
Banger of an OST too. Who could forget classics such as "Sound of Bell" or "A haunted room" from the sequel
Joke aside the game is pretty good. It will butter up your pooper real good.

A good remake of a remake of a remake of a remake, very nice to see it again.... But y'know Dead Patient could do with more chapters amirite?

This was the game that started it all for me. Over a decade ago, long before I cared for story telling, I found this game. I watched YouTubers play it as a kid, because back than, that's what I did. Watch games, play games, go to school, that was it. However, soon I'd find out this wasn't just a game to have fun and enjoy like the rest I experienced at the time.

Looking back on it now, I can say the story of Corpse Party quite literally changed my entire life. For the first time, a story made me feel pain, an extreme sadness. It was powerful, and as a child, it confused me. No game, no show, nothing, ever made me feel the level of despair this relentlessly dished out to me. It was so long ago, so it's hard to remember, but I think as a child, after I finished this, I avoided it at all costs. That way, I didn't have to think about it. However, it already planted something in my mind. Although it made me feel terrible, the feeling was very real. It fascinated me that something made up could hurt me so badly. So, from there, I left this series and searched for countless ones like it. Searching for even more stories that could leave an impact on their viewers all the same.

As years went on, I'd find various properties that struck a cord with me. Just to name a few, Mad Father was next and gave me a further appreciation for detail, and Attack on Titan appeared and gave me a further appreciation for story telling and world building over all. I began writing, making all kinds of stories alone, and with others. For a decade, I drowned myself in studies. I even dedicated a whole room in my house for collecting series I study with the upmost intensity. Soon, Corpse Party was a hazy memory. Other fiction took over my mind, and my own projects too. All I could remember about Corpse Party was that I liked it, and a scene with a girl watching a TV holding a cellphone. I had no idea what any of it meant anymore, other than my love for it.

Fast forward to present day. Having dipped my toes into the creatives industry, I began working with various people around the world. Story telling is my calling. However, I guess I lost where it all started. Corpse Party (2021) came out a day after my birthday funny enough, so I got it for myself. Replaying this has been, wild. All these characters, I remembered them, but the story escaped me completely. I truly got to experience it for a second time. That scene with the girl and the TV, I soon relived it too, and it destroyed me. Such a strong pain all over again, but as an adult, I get it now. Everything I just typed above, is what I realized. That scene with the girl and the TV, was the very scene that transformed me into a writer. It was the only memory of the story I had left because it hit me so hard. It hit me hard enough to get me where I am today. Corpse Party didn't just get me interested in story telling, it's what made me a story teller. This narrative, made me who I am.

This is worth the price tag. If you're interested in RPG Horror Games, this is the RPG Horror title to end all titles. I highly suggest giving this game a go. What makes a story memorable to someone in the audience is how it makes them feel, and I promise you, by the end you too will say you felt something. This game has been remastered and remade countless times since 1996 for a reason. Although, fair warning, this game is very intense with it's themes. I suggest playing with caution if you have trouble with extraordinarily dark themes.

Now, it's finally time to start the sequel games that I've never seen before. I bet they too will leave me just as satisfied, and leave me just as inspired. As a creator myself now, I only have thanks to give this series, and it's own creator.

Ok so this is my first time playing this game, and I'm only on chapter 1 but let me tell you something.
I've only had Naomi for half a chapter but if anything happens to her I will kill everyone in here and then myself.

I finished the game, the game is awesome, I love it. I am big sad right now.
