Is this basically PSP version or contains more features?

More extra chapters, new ending in Chapter 1, etc, but yes the same version in terms of being the remake with better graphics and sound.

There is also a mod that converts the original game to the psp version.

This is version is based on the 2016 3DS port which changed the overworld sprites to fit the artwork made for the 2009 PSP version.
It also added new endings and extra content not seen in other versions, making this the definitive version for me.

actually it's based on the PS4/Switch port released early this year in Japan.On top of the extra content added on the 3DS,they added even more extra content now(plus they recorded voices for the 3DS content too.They were unvoiced before likely to save on the budget).
